The participating pastry shops and bakeries include Ladurée, Fika, La Maison du Chocolat, Baked, Dominique Ansel KitchenEpicerie Boulud, Daily Provisions, Petrossian Bakery, Brooklyn Roasting Company and Patisserie Chanson. About Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP)

Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) is a national non-profit that educates and guides underserved high school students toward a bright future. Founded by culinary educator and cookbook author Richard Grausman, C-CAP impacts over 17,500 students a year and has also awarded over $53 million in scholarships since its inception.

Ways to Get Involved

Invaluable lessons are learned and imaginations are ignited when C-CAP students are connected with chefs like you and exposed early on to the wonderful career paths in the food service industry!

  • Host a Career Exploration Tour – Invite a group of C-CAP students and their culinary teacher to your restaurant, bakery, or chocolate shop to meet you and your staff, tour your facility, and even sample some of your Valrhona chocolate creations.
  • Do a Classroom Visit – Visit a C-CAP participating high school to conduct a demonstration and discuss your career path with C-CAP culinary students.
  • Hire an Intern – Be a mentor to a C-CAP student and hire them as an intern to work in your restaurant, bakery, or chocolate shop. All C-CAP interns will have successfully completed our Job Training Program, supported by Valrhona.

By providing an opportunity to C-CAP's future culinarians, you are helping to set them on the path for success.

Thank you for your support of this important cause. We look forward to seeing you at the Kick Off Party!
